2) What did you do during the Korean War? Were you a student soldier like the rest of your classmates?
No, I wasn't. I couldn't because I had to take care of my family. Also, I was very young. I be

It was pretty common for South Koreans to be from North Korea, so no one thought it was weird.
4) How was it like living in South Korea during the Korean War?
It was very frightening. Because I escaped from North Korea, my family was especially scared that we would be caught by the North Koreans.
5) From any point of the war, did you have to move to different houses or towns?
We had to move from house to house as the North Koreans were coming down the Korean peninsula.
